Yvonne Maximchuk
Born in Bralorne BC, Yvonne Maximchuk lives near Echo Bay on Gilford Island, in an off-grid seaside home and studio in the Broughton Archipelago. A working painter, potter and author for almost fifty years, she offers personalized art retreats which focus on facilitating others in finding their ‘art spirit’. Nature and her island world are the inspiration for all her work in a variety of mediums; drawing, watercolour and acrylic on canvas paintings, porcelain ceramic dinnerware, and the written word. Yvonne is author and illustrator of a memoir Drawn to Sea; a novel set in her home territory; Murder Rides a Gale Force Wind and her colouring book, Colour the British Columbia Coast, as well as two books co-authored with Bill Proctor Full Moon Flood Tide and Tides Rips and Back Eddies.
