Painting en plein air one experiences many challenges, including the rain I had this day while painting this charming garden scene. Luckily I had my umbrella, and the branches provided a canopy to paint under. Oils lend themselves somewhat to painting in rain as they don’t run like acrylics do, just one of the reasons I love oils so much. This 8 x 10 oil is painted on a thin canvas panel. It arrives unframed and fits a standard sized 8x10 art frame, or, it can left unframed and set on a stand which looks great on a desk or shelf.
