This painting is 18" by 24" Acrylic on canvas framed. It is part of my series called "Earth guardians". This Panda mother and Baby are rendered in a monochromatic scheme with a white textured background. The Panda is on the brink of extinction with efforts world wide to help them. The Panda has a gentle spirit and dutifully will care for her infant giving it almost all of her nutrition and 80% of her attention in early years of life. The gentle spirit of the Panda has a kind heart. The painting is done with a wash and then many layers of detailed fur to help create its form. My paintings are done with great respect and admiration for the animal kingdom the black and white palette allows me to showcase the chosen subject. A portion of my art sales goes directly to helping selected animal organizations in protection and preservation.
