Laurelle Armet (la designs)

Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and raised in Nanaimo B.C, Laurelle is an Islander at heart, an outdoor enthusiast, a city dweller and a traveler. She has now lived in Vancouver for 8 years and currently works full time as a Senior Graphic Designer. Laurelle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Graphic Design from Vancouver Island University and has 8+ years of experience in the industry. Since finishing her degree, her design and illustrative style has evolved many times over the years. It currently is a mixture of contemporary minimalism, featuring a flat illustration style and ranges from abstract to semi realistic. Laurelle believes that everything introduced to the world should have a positive impact, whether that be the energy we put out into the universe, or the products and designs we consume daily. She strives to spark conversation and inspire viewers with her art in the hopes to create a better world. When Laurelle is not designing, painting or taking pictures, you can find her listening to her favourite musicians, reading a good book, learning a new hip hop dance, kickboxing, or planning her next adventure.
