There is something so arresting about an aspen forest in the Fall. This copse was sunlit beautifully, so I had to stop. I took several photos as reference to use later in the studio. It was fun to paint, using the yellows, golds, and oranges that I don't often use in my paintings. It puts one in a cheerful mood to look at this piece. Once the painting was finished I named it Fall Fashion Show because as I painted, I was imagining models on a runway displaying their finery, each vying for attention. I focused on the front three. The painting arrives ready to hang with hardware attached. No frame is needed.
