Elena Marin

Lower Mainland based Artist, Elena, has been honing her skills in art for many years and more recently experimenting with mixed media, acrylic on paper, wood and canvas.

Elena has blended her training and experience of more than 30 years, as an architect with her passion for art.

Elena’s evolution into an artist, has allowed her, not only, to experiment with different materials and techniques, but also, to get out of her comfort zone and express ideas of movement, fluidity, contrast, connection, direction, depth, using realistic and abstract forms, thick, thin, straight and curved lines, bold textures and vibrant colours to represent her personal interpretation of people, cities, mountains and water.

Her use of cities, mountains and underwater environments as a reference for her paintings, allows Elena to challenge the boundaries of how we see the world.
