My Birches painting 36 x 12 inches, with a gallery-wrapped 1 1/4 painted sides. Birch trees have a very special meaning to me, as when I was growing up, we spent 4 years in Prince George. I would walk with my dog Teddy every day behind our house through the tall birch trees which seemed to grow as tall as the sky. I tried to capture this feeling in my painting, using the height of the trees as the towering effect they seem to display. They are particularly beautiful in the fall, when all the oranges and reds pop out. |
